Geoffrey Reginald Gilchrist Mure (1893–1979) was a British philosopher and Oxford academic, who specialised in the works of the German philosopher Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel. He was also Warden of Merton College, Oxford (1947–1963).
Before becoming Warden, Mure was a Fellow of Merton College. Mure's papers are held in the Merton College Library.[1] Precision of speech was a correlate of his intellectual vocation.
